Peter is a strategic governance, finance, risk, and institutional transformation leader with more than 20 years’ experience across financial services, cooperative finance, executive leadership, and governance advisory work. A Certified Public Accountant in Kenya and Australia, he has served as Chief Executive Officer of four SACCOs in Kenya, leading institutions through governance strengthening, strategic renewal, regulatory compliance, operational transformation, and institutional growth. Peter’s work today focuses on supporting boards, CEOs, and leadership teams to strengthen governance effectiveness, financial stewardship, risk oversight, strategic alignment and institutional accountability. Over the years, he has worked closely with boards, committees, regulators, stakeholders, and institutional leaders in strengthening governance systems, improving board-management relationships, supporting evidence-informed decision-making, and building resilient institutions capable of navigating complex operating environments. Peter currently serves as Board Resource Person for AMREF Health Africa Kenya, Advisory Committee Member for Development Finance Institute of Kenya, and Founder & Lead Trainer for Ideal Leadership & Capacity Building Limited.
