Equipping Entrepreneurs in Jinja

December 10, 2020

We are excited to announce that Sinapis is now offering classes in Jinja, Uganda!

On 7th November 2020, we launched our inaugural class of 25 entrepreneurs at the Pentecostal Assemblies of God. The students will be participating in the Aspire Launch Pad program, which is designed to help early entrepreneurs - those either at idea stage or early business stage. The program is tailored to equip them to scale and grow into sustainable businesses.Uganda recently topped the list as one of the most entrepreneurial countries in the world. However, many of the businesses that are started do not make it past their second year. Rebecca Namatovu, from Makerere University Business School and coordinator of GEM-Uganda, has stated that it is more common to create an additional business than expand an existing one.

At Sinapis, we train entrepreneurs to not only survive, but to thrive. We want to see people equipped with the tools they need to grow businesses that not only stand the test of time but grow, creating jobs and bringing economic health to communities. Our hope is that as these business leaders also dig into what God's word teaches, their lives, businesses and communities would be a source of light for Uganda.
