Meet Our New Uganda Program Assistant: Nathan Akandonda

December 19, 2019

1. Tell us a little bit about yourself.I am a believer in Christ Jesus who loves people. I studied Population Studies and Demography with Statistical Training at Makerere University. I have also led several teams at my local church (All Saints' Cathedral, Kampala), enjoy playing and watching soccer and love reading books. I love working with numbers and hope to be a data analyst/ scientist in the near future.

2. What is your favorite quote? "He who provides for this life but takes no care for eternity, is wise for a moment but a fool forever," - Billy Graham

3. If you could be anyone from any time period who would it be and why?I would pick Benjamin Franklin. This is because he made a discovery that solved a big problem that has since led to the transformation of the world.

4. What have you always wanted to try but never did? Driving long distances. For example driving from Kampala to Nairobi.

5. Do you have any advice for our entrepreneurs and partners?Sinapis is here to solve a problem that goes beyond just helping businesses nationwide and worldwide. As Sinapis is the Latin word for the mustard seed, I believe the fruit of Sinapis is going to impact the whole world. Why miss an opportunity to be part of this?

6. What is the most important thing you have learned in the last five years?God saves us not just for the sake of us going to heaven. He saves us so that we can serve Him, and glorify Him while we live.

7. What should we expect from you in your new role? I am an interesting and fun person who cares about people and look forward to interacting with all the entrepreneurs and partners I will meet in this role. I am also dedicated to completing tasks with diligence.
