Sunru Yong

Sunru is a partner at Dalberg where he heads the strategy practice and works on sustainable development challenges and opportunities, serving clients across Africa in agriculture and food systems, healthcare, inclusive business, and renewable energy.

He previously served as COO of Mobius Motors, where he led the development of a lean micro-factory and introduction of the Mobius 3 model, creating a viable pathway to profitability. He also helped incubate and launch the Ghana Commodity Exchange and was a Global Acumen Fellow supporting innovations in low-cost drip irrigation and supply chain technology. Earlier in his career, Sunru worked with Bain & Company advising private equity and corporate clients.

Sunru is a graduate of Harvard Business School and Washington University in St. Louis, where he studied history and international affairs, and he is a dual citizen of the US and Kenya. He knows first-hand the challenges that come with building and growing businesses – as well as the additional demands that face those who would do so in a Christ-centered way – and he is deeply excited to be a part of Sinapis’ work to support entrepreneurs who hold fast to this commitment.
