Mary Thuo also won 2nd runners up at the 2021 Green CEO's Award. Mary’s company started a project dubbed ‘Cycling to Work’, based on the realization that public transport for her employees put them at a higher risk of COVID-19 infection and was a greener alternative.

One of our Aspire Launchpad alumni, Gloria Cherono, Team Leader of Tripple P, won a grant in the 2022 global Solv[ED] Youth Innovation Challenge. Tripple P, based in Kericho, upcycles food waste into fertilizer and animal feed.

Solv[ED] is an initiative of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a mission to drive innovation to solve world challenges. Ten innovators were selected from over 800 applicants to the inaugural challenge.

Robert Belle received an international appointment as the Acting Presidential Advisor of East Africa. This appointment was received from the office of the Continental President for the AFCFTA Young Entrepreneurship Federation (AfYEF), headquartered in Accra, Ghana.

One of our Aspire Launchpad alumni, Ghislain Mastaki (Co-Founder of Kivu Sokoni) was featured on TV. Kivu Sokoni is an E-commerce platform set to revolutionize food security, linking farmers, local suppliers, and vendors to households and institutions.

Ghislain and his team members were also crowned the Nairobi Regional Impact Summit Champions in the Hult Prize challenge held in 2021. Founded in 2010, the Hult Prize challenge is the world’s largest social impact competition organized in partnership with the United Nations.
