Philip Nyamwaya is the co-founder of the award-winning digital payments processing services
provider, iPay (www.ipayafrica.com), which is regulated by the Central Bank of Kenya.
He is also the group managing director of eLipa (www.elipa.global), a Mauritian-based Pan-African
digital payments processing firm with operations in Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Malawi, Zambia, and
Nigeria.
iPay and eLipa process payments to/from mobile money, mobile banking, and debit & credit cards
both online as well as at the physical point of sale.
He has over 20 years of experience in the fields of digital product development, financial services
technology, marketing, and product placement, business development, partnership & regulator
relationship management, general management, and strategy.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science (First Class Honours) from the Jomo
Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology Nairobi, Kenya, and a Master's Degree in Software
Engineering from the University of Liverpool, UK.
He has also served as a part-time assistant lecturer in the Faculty of Information Technology at
Strathmore University, and Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology in Nairobi Kenya.
