As the resident finance expert for Sinapis East Africa, Joel serves in two capacities: leading our team’s regional financial management and directly advising next-stage growth entrepreneurs. As an integral part of both the Finance and Acceleration & Advisory Teams, he brings over two decades of experience to the Sinapis team.

Joel is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K) and a GiANT Worldwide Certified Coach whose guiding values are godliness, excellence, integrity, and courage (Psalm 78:72). He views his career as that of a marketplace minister and has worked as a general manager, finance director, and strategic planning and operations leader. He has also worked in the hospitality industry and as a business turnaround coach. Joel holds a BA in economics and mathematics from the University of Nairobi.

Joel is a born-again believer, husband to Sarah, and devoted father to Comfort, Azarel, and Hiel. He is anchored by 2 Corinthians 3:5 — “Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God.” Joel’s volunteer commitments include discipling men, pre-marital couples, married couples, and entrepreneurs.
