Joseph and his wife Leah came to the Sinapis Entrepreneur Academy in 2018-2019 praying that what they would learn would help them keep Jazza Centre going and ultimately grow. Not only do they believe what they learned during the Academy and through our Fast Track Accelerator helped them survive, they believe it has helped them thrive. They are on track to attract, train, and place 1,000 domestic workers in stable home management positions throughout Kenya in 2021. These positions offer up to a 50% pay increase over the industry average, national health and social security benefits, and training that extends the length of placement and improves self-confidence.

Approximately 30% of all employees are participating in a money savings program created to improve financial literacy and help build wealth. Stories of workers buying land, building houses, and educating their children and other family members abound. With an estimated 2 million domestic workers in Kenya, the opportunities for Jazza Centre are immense. Their business model not only provides an effective method of providing qualified home management staff, it is bringing dignity and hope to the lives of a historically disadvantaged population.

Jazza Centre's mission is train and empower domestic workers and match them to discerning clientele looking for professional staff to manage domestic work in their homes and businesses. The domestic home management industry is highly unformalized and employs an estimated 2 million workers. Jazza Centre is providing a crucial service for both those looking for work and those looking for skilled help.
